Welcome to the Ribeira Sacra, a place where time seems to stand still. This region holds the largest concentration of Romanesque architecture in rural Europe, with landscapes that inspire peace and tranquillity. It was these very qualities that attracted monastic communities in the 4th century, laying the groundwork for the unique landscape you see today.
They transformed the steep hillsides, building the terraced vineyards that are now the area's signature feature. This demanding work, often called "heroic viticulture," allowed them to cultivate grapes in what were once considered inhospitable lands, giving rise to exceptional wines and a rich cultural heritage.
To keep the experience truly personal, each tour runs with a minimum of 6 and no more than 8 guests — so spots are always limited.

Ribeiro: a wine region shaped by the Miño, Avia, and Arnoia rivers.
The Romans first discovered that the climate in this area was ideal for growing grapes. Later, during the Middle Ages, monasteries and priories played a key role in expanding the region's vineyards and selling its wines.
Ribeiro's highly valued wine, once considered one of the most expensive and sought-after, was transported through the region on the backs of mules and horses. From the main ports of Galicia, these wines were shipped to Brittany, Flanders, and England, where they were highly appreciated.
Walking through the Ribeiro region is a treat, with its unique landscape of terraces, slopes, and banks. Here, skilled artisans craft wines that honor the history, heritage, and roots that live on in every glass.

WHO WE ARE
Ana Gómez
Ana’s Galician roots, steeped in slow-cooked stews and local wine, shaped her early life. Her mother and a family friend, culinary hubs for Spanish sommeliers and chefs, instilled a love for food. A gift of aged Rioja and bold South African red from her sommelier brother sparked her passion for wine, solidified by her WSET Level 3 with merit.
Marina Cruces
I'm a sommelier and front of house by profession, and for the past 15 years, I've also been the co-organizer of 'A Emoción dos Viños,' an artisanal wine fair. Once you step into the world of wine, you can't stop; it's an intimate, captivating, and deeply human universe. My greatest desire is to share that passion with those who come to discover it."
Isabel Alonso
A restless creator, lover of mountains, wine, and tourism, I'm always in search of new experiences to share. As a well-experienced and certified tourist guide, my curiosity drives me to explore the world, discover new flavors, and share unique experiences.
